Niraj Patil

Niraj is a Research Associate (Front-End Web Developer) at Agri-Food Data Canada (ADC), where he contributes to the development of Catalogue Writer: a web-based metadata authoring and management tool that enhances the usability and standardization of agri-food research data.

He completed his Master of Data Science at the University of Guelph, where he gained experience in spatial-temporal data analysis, machine learning, and data visualization. With a strong foundation in front-end development using React.js and supporting back-end integration, he focuses on building intuitive, accessible, and data-driven interfaces that support ADC’s mission of making agri-food research data FAIR (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, and Reusable).

Before joining ADC, he worked on projects spanning Natural Language Processing, bioinformatics data tools, and web application development, blending data science and software engineering to create meaningful, user-focused solutions.
