Lucas Alcantara

Lucas Alcantara is a Biotechnologist who specializes in data management. He recently joined the University of Guelph as the Manager of Research Centre Data, where he is responsible for the collection, storage, and dissemination of data produced at the research centres that are part of the Ontario Agri-food Innovation Alliance. During his academic life, he had the opportunity to develop skills in molecular biology, enzymology, microbiology, bioinformatics, and genetics/genomics of animal breeding through research and development projects during his PhD. He holds a masters in Biosciences from the Federal University of Bahia, Brazil and a PhD in Genetics and Animal Breeding from the University of Guelph.
