Carly Huitema
Carly Huitema is part of the team leading the strategic design, development, management of the University of Guelph’s vision for a cross-sectoral online platform for research data and analytics – Agri-food Data Canada. Dr. Huitema’s interests include working with agri-food researchers and stakeholders within government and industry to increase the accessibility and usability of research data.
Carly Huitema received her PhD in Microbiology from the University of British Columbia. She lived in Switzerland for six years where she worked with a medical diagnostic start-up. Carly applies her experience with data science, regulatory frameworks, project management, and wide technological interests, helping develop Agri-food Data Canada.
